Building Blocks

Other may have consigned Lego to their childhood, but the Italian artist Marco Pece uses the little plastic bricks and figures to imitate fine art.

He post his work on Flickr under the pseudonym Udronotto, and re-creations include Leonardo’s The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa, and , perhaps best of all, an intricate take on Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks at the Diner (above).
Standing out from his more standared artistic oeuvre, his Lego work is both cute and ingenious.
